Emmy nominated photojournalist, Scott Kesterson

"Scott Kesterson is a citizen journalist and freelance photojournalist/
videojournalist embedded with US forces in Afghanistan. He has been in
Afghanistan since May 2006. He writes from the perspective of the
soldier, offering a glimpse at war not often shared since the likes of
Ernie Pyle. He is the first fully credentialed blogger embed.
In
addition to a news blog at KGW.com, posts on The Huffington Post and a
weekly Blog Talk Radio program, Kesterson's work has been used by
Frontline and CBC. Kesterson's video, "Sangin" documenting the fighting
during Operation Mountain Thrust in July 2006 was the most watched video
on KGW.com, and has been nominated for an Emmy. Following the year long
embed, Scott Kesterson will be working to complete the final edit for a
feature length film on his time with soldiers deployed in Afghanistan.
