Willamette Women Democrats
Picture
Where the biggest names discuss the biggest issues facing our communities,  our state and the nation.

W2D's Mission is to provide programs that inform; to encourage women to be politically active; to endorse and support the candidates and issues which best reflect the principles of the Democratic Party.
Willamette Women Democrats (W2D) is a non-profit, civic organization that presents monthly programs featuring the most dynamic and influential political figures in the state as well as speakers representing organizations that reflect our progressive values. Although our focus is primarily on state and local issues, we also present programs with national implications, such as criminal justice reform, gun control, women's reproductive rights and climate change.

Despite our name, our supporting members come from the entire Portland Metro area and include women and men. Everyone, regardless of political affiliation, is welcome to attend our timely and insightful programs.

Nov 13th Program:
A Report From the Front – Congress in the Age of Trump

Please join the Willamette Women Democrats as we bring you the very latest from Washington DC. On October 18th, many of you joined millions of our fellow Americans and participated in No Kings rallies across our nation. Here in Oregon, our Congresswomen and Senators stood with us for our democracy and stood up against presidential authoritarianism. We are delighted to be joined by Congresswomen Suzanne Bonamici, Val Hoyle, Janelle Bynum and Senator Jeff Merkley to share what is (and is not) happening in our nation’s capital, its impacts to Oregonians, what Democrats see as their next steps, and what you can do. Bring your questions for an important conversation.

The program will be held in person on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 at 4:30 pm at the Home Builder’s Association Conference Center in Lake Oswego.

CONTRIBUTE NOW!
We are actively seeking contributions for 2025 candidates running for local
education board races on May 20, 2025. Your contributions make a difference in
our communities. Please show your support and donate today.
HELP US KEEP OREGON BLUE!
In addition to our programs, W2D has a PAC (political action committee) in
support of or in opposition to state (Oregon), county and local candidates and
ballot measures consistent with the mission of W2D.

In 2023, W2D contributed $1600 to candidates in critical local school board races.
All of our supported school board candidates won! We are hoping to make
contributions equal to or greater than that amount in this 2025 election cycle.
